If you wish to apply to a commissioner to become a qualified provider for adult audiology in the UK; you may need to be assessed by UKAS the United Kingdom Accreditation Service based in Feltham Middlesex.
Having registered and understood the requirements stipulated by UKAS you will realize the amount of preparation needed. Remember; you will either pass or fail, there is no in between, failure can be very expensive.
However, once approved, you then have in place all the criteria needed to bid for more work under the AQP banner. Be aware that the work gained must cover the ongoing costs of continual assessment, as you will be retested regularly. Assessments will cost from £2,000, with qualifiers who have multiple branches incurring higher charges.
